No Dig India Show 2011 on 13th ~ 15th December 2011
“Underground is the future-Let's protect it jointly”
With the growth of Indian cities, particularly the megacities, continuing at an extremely fast pace, the need for abundant infrastructure and the demand for the Underground usage...............
Trenchless techniques to develop maintain and manage continuous subsurface networks of utilities offer a viable alternative to the conventional open-cut methods. Though much safer than the open-cut trenching method, trenchless methods have certain risks involved depending upon excavation method applied. These techniques are influenced by many factors that include subsurface lithological and groundwater conditions, preexisting obstructions, density of subsurface utility systems etc and therefore proper planning and designing of the trenchless project by qualified professionals to decide the application of specific trenchless method is necessary. Besides selection of appropriate trenchless method, third party monitoring of the overall progress as well as supervision, testing and commissioning works by independent consultant is also vitally important for the quality assurance.
