Trenchless techniques to develop maintain and manage continuous subsurface networks of utilities offer a viable alternative to the conventional open-cut methods. Though much safer than the open-cut trenching method, trenchless methods have certain risks involved depending upon excavation method applied. And to manage the risk associated with these methods all subsurface projects need to be planned and executed by technically competent work force.
IndSTT, under its Human Resource objectives, has initiated Trenchless Skill Development Programme to enhance the technical capability of the professionals associated with these techniques in different competencies required for project execution.
