Why dig Trenches when there are better solutions
IndSTT is proud to present the rapporteur's report on the show to provide the details about the show to interested stakeholders with intent to invite them to work with IndSTT in promoting Trenchless Engineering. The report provides the recommendations and IndSTT welcomes the industry stakeholders to consider these and work with it, so that the goals of technology promotion are achieved.
1. Introduction
Nation is demonstrating a healthy growth rate on several parameters due to impact of different government missions. Most of these missions require subsurface construction activities, and at many places such activities have to be executed in densely populated urban areas or geologically challenging regions. Trenchless technology applications have become one of the most important subsurface construction methodology set for developing, maintaining, and replacing buried infrastructure components at such locations. Success of these missions, therefore depends on proper application of Trenchless Technology, so that new assets are built while the older assets are properly protected at the same time. This requires adequate ingress of latest information about trenchless technology. IndSTT, with this objective in mind, had organised the No Dig India Show 2016 on 8th & 9th December 2016 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The event aimed at sensitizing the stakeholders about Policy, Regulations, Practices and Standards for subsurface asset development and management through trenchless technology.
2. Show Overview
A Grand International Show, dubbed 'No Dig India Show 2016' with the theme, “Government Missions & Trenchless Technology” was organized by IndSTT at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi (India) and the adjoining hub area. The two-day show concluded successfully on 9th December 2016. The event, sponsored by SD Technologies as Principal Sponsor, DCI India Pvt. Ltd., as Main Sponsor; L R Sharma & Co. & Urmi Trenchless Pvt. Ltd., as Sponsors. It witnessed several constructive activities during the show.
